We know you are probably tired of hearing about Los Barriles in Baja California Sur by now.
If you don’t know about Los Barriles Baja California Sur, it’s a small town on the East Cape of Baja California Sur, that packs a punch! It’s approximately 112km northeast of the more well-known tourist destination of Cabo San Lucas. With endless opportunities for adventure and relaxation, Los Barriles has something for everyone.
If you’re a beach bum, then this is the spot for you!
With white sand beaches and turquoise waters, you can swim, paddleboard, kayak, kite, wing, windsurf, or just catch some rays.
There are also some awesome beachside bars and restaurants serving up tasty seafood and drinks.
Feeling Adventurous in Los Barriles Baja California Sur
Try a boat tour to see some whales or test your luck with sport fishing. We’ve been out deep sea fishing a couple of times now and have yet to not catch something.
You could even explore the desert landscape on an ATV or camp under the stars. Check out our Los Barriles ATV adventure on Youtube. There are so many arroyos and trails through the desert you could probably go out every day for the entire winter and never use the same trail.
To really get into the local culture, check out one of the festivals! From the East Cape Dorado Shootout to Semana Santa, there’s a celebration for everyone.
At the end of the day, it’s all about taking it easy and enjoying the little things. And with beaches as beautiful as the beaches available in the Los Barriles area, you’ll have no trouble relaxing.
Lorena and I are still trying to slow down a little and start living our best beach life. We get out and walk the beach as much as possible. We get out and ride our quad on the beach, as much as we can. And we get out on the water any time we get a chance.
I think we’re doing a good job so far!
We did ride out Hurricane Norma in 2023, but luckily for us the storm slid on by us and came on shore on the west coast of Baja California Sur near Todo Santos. Not so great for the good folks there.
Rest assured we aren’t not done RVing yet.
We’ll have another blog post out soon, but in the meantime check out our Youtube channel here —>> TME with Paul and Lorena
